Wellbeing
We believe that when our people thrive, so does our business.
We offer a supportive, purpose-driven environment where expertise is valued, collaboration is key, and personal growth is actively encouraged.
Our approach to wellbeing is not a programme—it is a culture. A culture of care, clarity, and shared commitment, beginning with leadership and lived by everyone across the organisation.
Leadership Commitment
Wellbeing at Tetra is led from the top – championed at Board level and sustained through daily leadership. It’s more than a value; it’s a responsibility we take seriously.
Every member of our Senior Leadership Team has operational responsibilities, and this consistent presence ensures wellbeing remains a lived priority. Many SLT colleagues have also undertaken leadership training, strengthening their ability to support others with confidence and empathy.
Our HS&E team supports personal and professional development through mentoring and leadership programmes–building capability, confidence and collaboration.
Wellbeing Strategy
Wellbeing at Tetra is aligned with our purpose: we make buildings safer for people. Whatever your role in Tetra everyone makes a valuable contribution helping to create both meaningful work and shared belonging.
We’re also unique in our sector: we directly employ all staff. This creates stability, loyalty, and a strong sense of belonging—key to long-term wellbeing.
We support through:
- Mental health first aiders and 24/7 wellbeing support
- On-demand GP access and gym discounts
- Regular social events and celebrations
- Flexible working options
Tetra is a remote-first business with a London hub for in-person collaboration. Everyone is supported, if they choose it, with second screens, ergonomic chairs, and the right technology. What matters is not where you work, but how you work—with care, presence and impact.
Inclusion and Accessibility
We’re proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, with 18% of our people being veterans—including two Board members. As a Bronze Award ERS employer, we create meaningful, secure roles for ex-service personnel.
Wellbeing initiatives are inclusive by design and delivered virtually to ensure access for all. We also partner with Back Up, a charity helping people with spinal cord injuries regain confidence and independence—work that mirrors our values of dignity, trust and inclusion.
Employee Engagement and Participation
Our people help shape the wellbeing offer through feedback, informal conversations, and direct input. Our Wellbeing Cafés—voluntary, virtual gatherings—emerged from staff suggestions and are now a regular, valued part of working life.
Twelve cafes have now taken place with topics including PDST, caring responsibilities and life transitions. Cafés are safe, human spaces—informal and peer-led—where colleagues feel seen and heard. Their popularity has guided wellbeing initiatives.
Impact and Results
Many of our people stay with us for years—a reflection of the trust, connection and care they experience every day. We celebrate this loyalty with long service awards.
One colleague captured it best:
“We are a community, not just a company.”
That, for us, is the greatest wellbeing result of all.
